Investment

The pricing of our memorials vary depending on several factors:

  • Color of granite
  • Size
  • Shape or style of headstone
  • Vases
  • Etching
  • Ceramic photos

Additional setting fees are charged by the cemetery.

Size, Style and Material of Memorial

Style and size are the first factors of our products. For example, It’s easier to fabricate flush markers than other styles like bevels, slants and monuments. Custom-shaped markers take much longer, which leads to a rise in costs. The higher the need for labor, the higher is the cost. Price also depends on the size of the end product.

Material is also an influential factor. Stones such as granite and marble are extracted from mines all over the world and are brought in various quantities. We use granite and marble specifically graded for monument use. Granite costs vary by supply not based on quality, but on availability.

Although some companies use a good-better-best pricing structure, we believe that misleads customers. All monument-quality granites will endure for lifetimes and will contrast well when carved. Location of granite and transportation are also taken into consideration. The items below are included with our price:

  • Highly trained employees delivery and installation to your cemetery lot
  • Standard design and memorial artwork
  • 40 letters on single markers and 60 letters on double markers.
  • Shape carving and crafting on all upright monuments
  • Standard finished surfaces

Additional Memorial Items

Miller Granite Memorials LLC offers all necessary items in the base price of each memorial. We include cemetery delivery and installations as well. Granite is extremely heavy and should only be handled by trained individuals. Some out-of-state suppliers offer the necessary service. Don’t forget to confirm whether the stone will be completed and installed by the company you ordered it from.

Some of the additional items we offer include:

  • Additional finishes (such as polished tops on uprights, polished margins on a base and more)
  • Attaching veterans’ plaques to the monument
  • Vases
  • Engraving on the back surface of the memorial
  • Custom artwork
  • Hand or laser etchings (These are only available on black granite surfaces)
  • Deep bias relief carving

Foundation Setting Fees and Sales Tax of Memorials

Expect us to itemize the same charges for cemetery foundations and installations. Feel free to contact us if you need some help to determine the cemetery fees. We’ll be glad to assist you. Sales tax is the last cost influencing factor which is listed separately on your sales order with the cemetery fee.

Monument and Marker Foundation and Setting Fees

Almost all cemeteries need a cement foundation beneath monuments and headstones. The foundation is required to prevent the marker from heaving with frost or settling over time. Some companies may charge a set fee for installation when a cement foundation is not required. We have these charges cataloged in our database for the majority of cemeteries.

Miller Granite Memorials LLC usually includes cemetery or sexton charge as a separate line item in your total cost. This is offered as a part of our full service to you. Our staff will inform the marker size of the cemetery and send your payment to them.

Bronze markers' cost factors include:

  • Size
  • Vase casting
  • Number of emblems (if you opt for more than two)
  • When the marker is mounted on a granite base
